This was in the Black Hills of South Dakota in August 2000. It's one of my favorite old photos I took of my daughter at age 6 during one of our three USA coast-to-coast car trips my son, daughter and i have taken so far.

...Hi, Mary!...
ReplyDeleteYou got to love the color of this shot. Is there a painting?
ReplyDeletethanks, mickry, no painting of it, some things work better as a photo. i think this is one of those. yes, the color is all warms and what i love about this is the way she at age five in that yellow cotton dress, hands on hips, pigeon-toed, faces the foreboding landscape almost as if to be thinking, "no big deal, i'll cross it."
